Who We Are
Sydney and Maeve are both 11 year olds.
They met while attending St. Edmund's Academy in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. When they realized they had an unfortunate connection they joined together to create ALS Kids.

When she’s not fighting ALS, Maeve likes to play field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse. She loves going out to dinner and spending time
with her friends and family.

Sydney likes to play Lacrosse, Field Hockey, Basketball and run (track and cross country). She also likes to travel, meet new people and hang out with her friends.

SYDNEY BIRCHARD
I started this business because my Grandfather died from ALS and my business partner's Grandmother also passed away from ALS. I would like make sure the people living with ALS know that we're fighting with them and that they aren't alone. We will keep fighting until we have a cure and no one else has to lose a parent, grandparent, friend or loved one.
Maeve Shaughnessy
My grandmother was diagnosed with ALS in December, 2014. She lost her battle on Thanksgiving Day, 2016. She’s the reason I became involved with ALS and the reason I continue to fight today. Sydney and I have created the company ALS Kids in hopes to eliminate ALS. In the future, we hope to continue to make a difference and help create a world without ALS.
